The Bipolar Lock keeper

My name is Graham and I have a superpower called Bipolar Disorder (BD) Type 2.

I have returned to the North West (Todmorden, West Yorks) after 35 years down South.

I have bought a lovely house by The Rochdale Canal. Both the house and location have the WOW Factor. I live with my younger son (23).

This blog is about how I deal with the BD highs & lows given the stresses in my life.

Be Kind – as my mate Frank Turner (i met him) says at the start of every gig, rule 1 Don’t Be A Dick

Be Patient (I struggle with this one in real life). In school data cycles what I mean is … you don’t have to complete your census or tablechecking exercise on day 1, you are given a window – use it.

Be Generous with both time & money. You get paid back by love which is the most valuable thing. The human race runs on ❤️

KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) Principle

Never design a complex system, you are more likely to have it fail. Google it ✅

Get the right tools for the job

Always buy the best you can afford. You avoid buying twice.

Don’t tell me you don’t have money

You have money, it is a question of where you commit the expense to. IMHO some CFOs/BMs are getting it all wrong #dataiskey

Change is a constant

Lean into it & learn new skills. You might enjoy it.

I am divorced. I have my independence and can go anywhere in the world.
